Baseball and softball season are already in full swing, and we know just how important practice is to build stamina and improve skills. You’ve heard the saying “practice makes perfect,” right? Strike Zone is the perfect place for all of our local baseball and softball stars to brush up on their skills throughout the season.   

Mount Vernon’s Strike Zone is operated and managed by Mount Vernon Youth Baseball (MVYB), and it features a wide variety of equipment ready for you to use. The space features batting cages, pitching machines, hitting tees, pitching mounds and more, ready for your personal use or your team’s practicing needs. The facility is located right off the riverfront in downtown Mt. Vernon at the corners of Water and Walnut Streets.   

Strike Zone in Mount Vernon, Indiana is available to MVYB coaches during spring, summer and fall baseball seasons and is available to individuals year-round who are interested in purchasing a membership. To sign up for a membership, click here.

Strike Zone has different hours of operation during regular baseball and softball season and during the off season. Coaches and members can schedule private times to practice online and the space can also be rented out for special events as well. Baseball / Softball Season – March 1 to July 31

Monday – Friday: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and 6:30pm to 8:00 pm
Saturday: 90 minute scheduled blocks starting at 8am; Members-only time slots starting at 5:00 pm.
Sunday: For members only; No team scheduling

Off-Season – August 1 to February 28

Sunday – Saturday: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm, with 1 hour time slots available for members to reserve once daily.
