Mt Vernon Indiana (IN) – a place to call home – is tucked into the southwest corner of Indiana along the Ohio and Wabash Rivers in Posey County, 20 miles from Evansville’s metropolitan area.

Location on the Ohio River, easy travel and proximity to Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky make Posey County a great location for corporations to plant.

More reason to live in our town? Our Mount Vernon School system is one of the best in the area. Your family can live close to school and work. With the riverfront nearby there are always many free or low-cost activities and events throughout the year. Brittlebank Pool is another favorite for families in the summer. Want to be closer to shopping? Evansville’s west side is just 20 miles away with Eastland Mall 35 miles distance. Also nearby, the walkabout village of New Harmony shares the Posey County community and brings travelers from all around the world to visit its culture and history.

 Take a short drive from Carmi, Illinois, Owensboro, Kentucky or Evansville, Indiana and you could end up in the friendly town of Mount Vernon, Indiana.
